In Mark 13:7, the latter part of the verse says, "...be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet."

Why is Jesus saying, "Don't be troubled"?  What is troubling?  The context is the prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70, but the dual application is the End Times when the signs will point toward the Second Coming of Jesus Christ at the end of the 7 year Tribulation period.  And the events Jesus lists can absolutely be troubling!

War, natural disasters, famine... all of this is going to happen, yet Jesus says "don't be troubled by all of this."  How can we NOT be troubled?  How can we not be afraid?  The answer is simple, Jesus is coming and the faithful, the believing, those who are born-again will be gathered together with the Lord and we will enter into eternity in the presence of God!

It looks darkest just before the dawn, and that means Jesus returning to bring every Believer into the glory of heaven for all eternity.  So when you see bad things happening, do not be afraid, do not be troubled.  Lift up your head, Redemption draws near!
